GapAlgo Confluence
Trend, session timing, volume and premium or discount, reduced to one score.
What it does
Four modules in one script: Trend Surge reads direction, Session Killzones reads timing, Volume Pulse reads participation, and the OTE Zones read whether price is cheap or expensive inside its own recent range.
Each module can be switched off, and only the enabled ones count toward the score, so a three module setup reads out of three. Volume Pulse sits in its own pane below the chart. The ribbon, killzones and zones are drawn on the price chart.
How it works
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Trend Surge | A 21 and 55 EMA with slope and a chop filter call the trend bullish, bearish or chop. Candles are painted by trend and a five line EMA ribbon grows brighter as the trend strengthens. |
| Session Killzones | Highlights the Asian, London, New York and London Close killzones, and draws the previous session's high and low. |
| Volume Pulse | Flags volume spikes against the normal volume for that time of day, with a higher bar outside regular hours so thin premarket prints do not count. |
| OTE Zones | Finds the current dealing range from swing highs and lows, marks equilibrium at 50% and the 61.8% to 78.6% optimal trade entry zone. |
Key settings
Names as they appear in the indicator's settings, with the default value.
Enable Trend Surge / Session Killzones / Volume Pulse / Premium/Discount OTE Zones
Default: All on
Switch modules on or off. Only enabled modules count toward the score.
Fast Trend EMA / Slow Trend EMA
Default: 21 / 55
The two averages Trend Surge compares.
Chop Sensitivity
Default: 0.35
Lower calls trends sooner. Higher needs a clearer trend before it leaves chop.
Paint Candles by Trend / Show Ribbon
Default: On / On
The candle colours and the EMA ribbon.
Show Killzone Highlights
Default: On
Shades the four killzones. The Asia, London and New York session boxes are off by default and can be switched on.
Show Previous Session High/Low
Default: On
Carries the last session's extremes forward.
Detection Method / Spike Threshold (x Average)
Default: Relative Multiple / 1.8
How a volume spike is measured. A Z score option is available.
Adjust for Time-of-Day (Session-Relative Volume)
Default: On
Compares each bar to the same time on previous days, so the open is not a permanent spike.
Swing Left Bars / Swing Right Bars
Default: 15 / 15
How big a swing must be to define the dealing range.
OTE Zone Start / OTE Zone End
Default: 0.618 / 0.786
The retracement band marked as the OTE zone.
Show Premium / Discount Shading
Default: Off
Optional shading above and below equilibrium.
How to read it
- Candle colour and ribbon: green is bullish, red is bearish, amber is chop. A brighter ribbon means a stronger trend.
- Killzone shading marks the Asian, London, New York and London Close windows, the ICT session times.
- Volume Pulse in the lower pane: bars that reach the grey threshold line are spikes, shaded from red (sellers) to green (buyers). Everything else stays grey.
- OTE Buy Zone / OTE Sell Zone box = the 61.8% to 78.6% retracement of the current leg. The dotted line is equilibrium: above it is premium, below it is discount.
- Dashboard: the Confluence Score, for example BULLISH (4/4), then each module's state. A long gets a point for a bullish trend, price in discount, a buy side volume spike and an active killzone. Shorts mirror it.
- Full confluence means every enabled module agrees. One module firing is never treated as four.
Alerts
- Trend Surge flipped bullish or bearish.
- Price entered the OTE buy or sell zone.
- Volume Pulse buy or sell spike.
- Full Confluence: Bullish or Bearish, when every enabled module agrees.

Tip
The score is deliberately strict. Treat a partial score as context, and the full confluence alert as the moment to look closely.
