Levels and sessions
Previous Day Week Month Levels
Previous day, week and month highs, lows and closes, with counts for how often the session reaches yesterday's extremes.
Yesterday's high and low are the most watched levels in intraday trading, largely because every participant can see them. The indicator draws them along with the previous close, then applies the same treatment to the week and the month.
Underneath sits a dashboard reporting how often this symbol has reached yesterday's high, how often it reached the low, and how often it took both. The last figure carries the most information. A symbol that tags both extremes on half its sessions is rotating rather than trending, and a level on that symbol deserves less confidence than the identical level somewhere that picks a direction and holds it.
Each set of levels can be switched off on its own, so a chart can carry the daily lines without the monthly ones crowding the view.
How to read it
- Use the tag rates to judge whether yesterday's extreme is a realistic target for today.
- Frequent both sides tagged means rotation. Expect reversion rather than follow through.
- Weekly and monthly levels earn the most attention in the first session after they form.
