Levels and sessions
Session Killzones
Boxes Asia, London and New York with the four ICT killzones, filtered so a single bad tick cannot stretch the range.
Liquidity is not distributed evenly through the day. Sessions overlap, opens and closes concentrate volume, and the windows where that happens have names. This indicator boxes the Asia, London and New York sessions and highlights the four killzone windows inside them.
The outlier filter deserves more attention than it usually gets. A single bad tick during a thin hour can stretch a session box by a full point and ruin the level for the remainder of the day, so wicks beyond a configurable multiple of ATR are excluded from the range.
Session hours, killzone hours and the timezone are all inputs, so the boxes line up with the clock you actually trade rather than with a default someone else chose.
How to read it
- Session highs and lows act as reference levels for the session that follows.
- Volume concentrated inside a killzone means a move there carries more participation.
- Keep the number of days of history low. Old session boxes add clutter without adding information.
Questions
What is a killzone?
A window where a session's liquidity concentrates, usually around an open. The four included are the standard ICT windows.
Can I hide the sessions I do not trade?
Yes. Every session box and every killzone toggles independently.
